Shanghai Bistro

Eastwood City Walk 2, Libis, Quezon City
687-7103

Date of Visit: June 17, 2007

It’s our favorite fine dining Chinese restaurant. Shanghai’s atmosphere is comfortably sophisticated that’s why the place may come as intimidating at first. In fact, I think it’s one of its main draws. Food options are numerous, the service is attentive and menu prices are a bit high but the high quality of food and service more than compensates for the price.

It's the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion. Don’t forget to make reservations, though. It was Father’s Day the last time we dined here. For starters, we had the house tea and this Spicy Seaweed appetizer. Then came the main entrees: Stir Fried Shrimps with Green Vegetables, Beef Tenderloin Chinese Style (our favorite here! It’s just soooo good!), Sweet & Sour Pork, Deep Fried Chicken & Crispy Noodles.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Super! The meats and seafoods are cooked perfectly. All vegetables in main dishes are also excellently cooked – never soggy and always a bit crunchy.

My verdict: 5 stars. Recommended 100x.
